Karalyn's Poem

Karalyn has been blossoming in her writing and has knocked the socks off of her teachers. She has brought her teacher to tears and they are even trying to get some of her work published. Just wanted to share a little of her talent...

ABOVE THE CLOUDS
By: Karalyn Smith (9yrs old)

Above the clouds there are rainbows sleeping peacefully, waiting to be waken by the silent drops of water exploding when they land on the rough sidewalks.

The sun chimes like it is the rainbow's own alarm clock going off in the misty afternoon. They start to yawn making a drum of thunder. They dress in their most flashing colors to make everyone catch a contagious smile that starts to emerge all around the world's surface.

Their breakfast of laughter fills them just enough for their day of work, making all the children's doubtful thoughts shrink and making their creative thoughts grow like exquisite flowers.

Rainbows have a full schedule like most, we all know rainbows express themselves not only so they can feel the magic sparks shimmer down the sky, but so they can brighten up our day with one peek at the peacefulness of this fragile creation.
