Picnic and Potato Pancakes!

We had a blast yesterday at the welcome picnic for our area host families and children. Nora was able to see one of the "Children's Home" workers, Ginta (picture one) and she was excited to see two of her roommates, Alesa & Katya (Pic 2). It was great to see her able to talk in her own language and have fun with familiar faces.

After we came home we were hungry at 9pm so we decided to have Nora make us some traditional potato pancakes. She was awesome.. no recipe, no exact measurements... and they were perfect! As we all took our first few bites she started laughing... and she said she had something to tell us... It was her FIRST time making Potato pancakes! She looked like she knew exactly what she was doing! That started a night of laughing so hard we cried! We had so much fun! Talking, Laughing, waterwars, etc.... She said she doesn't remember when she has ever laughed so hard.... we agree!
What a blessing she is!
