I will make an attempt to catch up on blogging because our lives have been so busy I have so many different things to share!
The first picture is our flash visit to the Annual Taneytown Carnival. We were there only long enough to win 2 fish and buy some funnell cake.
The second picture was taken with humor and to serve as a reminder for what we had been through that week. To make a long story short... Karalyn had a kidney infection that she should have been hospitalized for... but we were determined to keep her home to avoid tramatizing her and us with all that was going on. She had to get antibiotic shots and we were told to keep a close eye because we may have to admit her for a few days if she didn't improve. That evening she was running over 104 fever that would not break. When it finally starting breaking we put her to bed and she seemed fine. When we went to check on her 1 hour later, she was awake but unresponsive. She could not speak, did not know who we were or who she was. It was probably the scariest moment of my life. I called 911! The ambulance came a "speedy" 30 minutes later... and she had come out of it by then and was responding well... (other than she still did not know her name... she was saying that her name was KKKiirrrrbbbyyy). Weird! Anyway we think she had a febrile seizure and we were witnessing the aftermath. She got better each day little by little and now she is back to 100%. It was a moment none of us will forget.. but we can laugh now! She has a new appreciation for the paramedics, as she found them to be really fun to talk to!
